Britta Jaschinski 出生于德国Bremen，目前活跃于伦敦摄影圈，使用Nikon传统相机与黑白底片创作，擅长以动物与自然风景为创作题材，近期重要的展览经历为2011年卢森堡 Ville de Differdange个展、2006年于德国Reutlingen历史博物馆个展、2003 年于伦敦 Hackelbury艺廊个展；得奖经历为欧洲野生摄影年度大奖(GDT European WildlifePhotographer of the Year)、年度野生动物摄影师大奖(Wildlife Photographer ofthe Year)、伦敦摄影奖(London Photographic Award)等。
Jaschinski 专注拍摄野生动物题材，在她着名的几个系列中，可以看见她对于动物生命的关注与表态。在〈动物之殇〉(Broken Animals)系列中，她捕捉马戏团与驯兽师的形象，动物们被囚禁、束缚与被强迫的面貌，惊吓与无助的神情；在〈黑暗〉(Dark)系列中则拍摄黑夜中的动物，以强烈的光影对比、动态与慢速快门的交替，使动物形体笼罩白色残影，影像如同黑白色的剪纸图形，某些影像则拥有锐利的轮廓，黑夜与白昼的映照，表现了动物灵魂中的纯粹与野性；在〈野生〉(Wild Things)系列中则强调动物的特写与自然景物的对望，以记录形式创造出具有诗意的生命篇章；在〈动物园〉(ZOO)系列作品中则可以看见摄影者隔着玻璃拍摄，园区造景与动物生存空间狭小的对应关係，表达出动物们错置在人造环境中的残酷与虚无感。
观察各大国际型摄影比赛，可以发现以动物与自然为题材的摄影者相当多，以世界新闻摄影展(World Press Photo)中的自然(Nature)竞赛项目为例，每年皆有大量以动物、环境为题材的作品。相较于这些作品如此锐利地与直接地指控人类残忍的暴行，Jaschinski 所拍摄的系列作品以内敛沉静的方式来表现这些自然动物的形象：她将动物视为创作中独一无二的主角，探究各种动物在人造环境与自然环境中的各种情境，将动物拟人化、注入人类灵魂中的孤独与疏离感，以独特的黑白摄影与强烈的光影为动物刻划出永恆却又脆弱的真实感，提示我们各种生命的独特且绝无仅有的存在。
2014年于Bluerider ART 展出的为〈动物之殇〉与〈黑暗〉系列中的作品：〈孤单的狮子〉(Lone Lioe)、〈表演〉(The Performance)、〈空灵存在〉(Ethereal Presence)、〈终身牢笼〉(A Cage for a Lifetime)等精彩的摄影作品，从中可以看见 Britta Jaschinski 对于动物的关怀与探究生命本质的情感表现。
