Bryan Ida 布莱恩・伊达毕业于圣荷西州立大学，主修电子音乐编曲，居住及创作于美国洛杉矶。师承美国著名抽象画家 Sam Francis山姆．法兰西斯(1923-1994)，Ida 在承袭Sam Francis奔放洋溢色彩的同时、也融合自身来自音乐性的感知，发展出独树一帜的以压克力结合环氧树脂(Epoxy)、聚酯纤维(Polyester)的多层次堆叠的四度空间表现形式，与城市和自然进行对话。多次于美国知名博物馆及美术馆展览，包含兰开斯特艺术与历史博物馆(Lancaster Museum of Art and History)、河滨市美术馆(Riverside Art Museum)、托伦斯艺术博物馆(Torrance Art Museum)、长滩美术馆(Long Beach Museum of Art)、洛杉矶当代艺术美术馆(Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles)等。作品永久收藏于加利福尼亚州迪赛塞特博物馆(De Saisset Museum)、微软(Microsoft)与杜邦 (DuPont™ Genencor® Science)等矽谷高科技公司。

纯熟的环氧树酯创作技术，使 Ida在绘画上拥有空间感的铺述，早期透过6-7层环氧树酯（Epoxy）的绘画堆叠，让二维的平面筑起三维的视界。近期开始运用聚酯纤维(Polyester)作为创作素材，利用轻透的特性，交叠200层的绘画与聚酯纤维材料，使画面内容与细节处理愈趋细腻丰富。对Ida 而言，记忆是情感化后的经验，存在着与之呼应的形影，他以成层堆叠和埋藏的手法保留三度空间加上时间的四度表现。
Bryan Ida 以鲜活的色调诠释经典的城市与地景想像外，更在都市人文成分中加入自然的面向，「沿岸 (Littoral)」系列创作，「沿岸」是海陆相交的地带，亦即两个截然不同世界的交集处，不同于以往分明且独立的城市形象，以水波的形式柔化了画面，引出文明与自然互动的思考，同时也将城市议题更广泛的延伸与扩展。伊达对光、色彩与构图的著迷与追寻创作出交错重叠的意象，不仅提供空间上宽阔的视野，更得以将想法与影像植进结构中，使每道构面均与其他层次发生互动、产生连结，而同时也保有分离且独立的特性，如同不断堆叠地各个声部，奏出首首属于城市的交响乐章。
