In ‘On Off,’ a woman repeatedly switches a light on and off within a looping sequence, while an actual light bulb is positioned just above the frame, effectively extending the artistic gesture into the viewer’s space. This technique of extending objects beyond the screen is a recurring motif in Marck’s work, as he envisions the video not as a closed entity but as an open-ended experience.
