Bluerider ART is proud to announce the Grand Opening Reception of Bluerider ART LA．Manhattan Beach on September 20, 2025—marking the gallery’s fourth global location and a significant milestone in connecting Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Occupying 15,000 square feet, the new U.S. flagship consists of four octagonal buildings designed in 1953 by renowned architect John Merrill Gray, an iconic example of 1950s Mid-Century Modernism.
The inaugural exhibition, “From Sea to Sky — The Blue Axis”, presents 22 works with “blue” motif by 16 internationally acclaimed artists from 10 countries, including Germany, Taiwan, Spain, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, the Czech Republic, and Argentina. Featuring painting, sculpture, and installation, the works transcend national boundaries to converge along this“blue axis,” reflecting on dialogues between Eastern and Western cultures, Universe and Life, Nature and Science, and the relationship between Self and Others. The exhibition responds to French philosopher Gilles Deleuze’s concept of Becoming: art is not a linear journey from A to B, but a continuous process of transformation in the flow between heterogeneity and boundaries—constantly generating new possibilities. This grand opening marks the arrival of a fresh wave of Contemporary Fine Art on the Southern California coast, establishing a spiritual and cultural lighthouse.
