Bluerider ART proudly congratulates our represented German Artist Angela Glajcar, having a new solo exhibition 《The Way of Paper》. Now on view at the Kajaanin Art Museum in Finland from October 2nd, 2025. The exhibition showcases the artist’s long-term exploration of light, space, and translucency through paper.
Through techniques of tearing, layering, and suspension, Glajcar transforms paper from a flat material into structures imbued with architectural presence and airiness. She regards light as a second sculptural material, allowing her works to continuously shift within space, evoking a sense of both weightless levitation and profound depth. As the artist notes, “It is surprising how much paper can do — it gives me freedom.” In her hands, paper transcends its traditional role as a mere image carrier, becoming instead a medium for light and air, constructing poetic and meditative spatial experiences.
《The Way of Paper》 features several new large-scale installations alongside Glajcar’s iconic works, including pieces from her renowned 《Terforation》 series. Illuminated by shifting light, the layered forms evoke caves, petals, and waves, inviting viewers to drift between perception and imagination. Glajcar intentionally avoids assigning concrete interpretations to her works, encouraging each viewer to form their own personal reflections, turning every encounter into an intimate act of visual meditation.
