Curatorial Statement
Bluerider ART London·Mayfair is pleased to present "Point of Life": a summer group exhibition running alongside London Design Week, from 5 to 30 September 2026. This exhibition takes design as its lens, asking not what art depicts, but what it does within a space. A room is never neutral; it is shaped by proportion, material, and light, even before a single object enters it. Artwork, placed with intention, becomes part of the architecture: not decoration added after the fact, but a second layer of design logic, working in dialogue with the first.
"Point of Life" brings together sixteen international artists whose practices move fluidly between sculpture, object, and spatial gesture. The exhibition presents artwork that asks to be lived with, not simply viewed. Across painting, sculpture, and dimensional form, it traces how art and interior design share a common question: how does a considered object change the way we inhabit a room and, in turn, how we experience our own lives within it?

Willi Siber
(Germany, b. 1949）
Willi Siber (Germany, b.1949) studied Art History at the University of Stuttgart and continues to live and work in Upper Swabia, Germany. Drawing upon the Baroque heritage and pastoral landscape of Upper Swabia, Siber distills the ornamental colour and rhythm of the Baroque, together with his profound communion with nature, into abstract works that continuously explore the plasticity of matter; interrogating form, colour, and texture, and unsettling the viewer’s visual perception. Major career retrospectives have been held at Kunsthalle Weishaupt (2026) and Museum Villa Rot (2019), establishing critical milestones in his artistic trajectory. In 2023, he received the Oberschwäbischer Kunstpreis, Germany’s prestigious cultural award. His works are held in the permanent collections of the Deutscher Bundestag, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Städtisches Kunstmuseum Singen, the German Embassy in Argentina, Deutsche Bank, Kunstwerk private museum, and Museum Ritter, among others.

Reinoud Oudshoorn

Reinoud Oudshoorn lives and works in Amsterdam. Oudshoorn is known for his minimal sculpture by creating a bridge between the spatial illusion of a flat surface and the concrete reality of a physical object through the language of drawing and sculpture. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions and his works entered important international collections including Stedelijk Musuem Amsterdam, AkzoNobel Art Foundation, ABN AMRO and Sammlung Schroth.
Josep Riera i Aragó
(Spain , b. 1954)
Josep Riera i Aragó (b. 1954, Spain), a graduate of the Sant Jordi Royal Academy of Fine Arts and currently based in Barcelona, is among Spain’s most internationally acclaimed contemporary artists. His work explores voyages between sky and sea, employing mechanical elements such as propellers, submarines, and airplanes to construct a poetic narrative of time, space, and life. His solo exhibitions include the Städtisches Museum Heilbronn (Germany), the Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles (France), and the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona. Permanent collections including the Fondation Vincent van Gogh, the Fundació Joan Miró, and the Boeing Company headquarters in Chicago.
Carol Prusa
(USA, b. 1956）
Carol Prusa (USA, b.1956), a graduate of Drake University with a Master degree in painting, currently resides and works in North Carolina, USA. Prusa inherits the silverpoint drawing technique from the Renaissance period, delving into astrophysics to interpret the chaotic interactions of cosmic evolution. Through the meticulous and refined grayscale of silverpoint, Prusa intricately incorporates sculpture forms, portraying the beauty of cosmic anomalies, and has gained recognition for her unique artistic expression. She has received the SECAC Artistic Achievement Award and has been invited to exhibit at the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Letters. Her works are featured in several silverpoint history books, permanently housed in over a dozen museums across the United States, including the Perez Museum of Art in Miami, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, and the Telfair Museums. She has held major solo exhibitions at various institutions, including the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Norton Museum of Art.
Eberhard Ross

Eberhard Ross (Germany, b. 1959) currently lives and works in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Frankfurt, Germany. He studied at Folkwang-University Of Arts Essen with László Lakner and Friedrich Gräsel. For decades, Ross has dedicated himself to painting and drawing, combining Zen Buddhist philosophy with minimalist aesthetics. His meditative working process responds to the order and rhythm found in nature. His works are held in numerous public and corporate collections, including Deji Art Museum (Nanjing, China), Royal Bank of Canada, Art Collection NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany), and Museum of Art Alte Post (Mülheim, Germany).
Dirk Salz
(Germany, b. 1962）
Dirk Salz (Germany, b. 1962) developed a deep appreciation for painting and art history at a young age. Currently based in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, Salz’s creative process abandons traditional tools like brushes and canvases. Instead, he uses paint rollers and the gravitational force of resin to break free from minimalist conventions, exploring transparency, color dynamics, and the interplay between light and space. His works are part of the Akzo Nobel Art Foundation’s collection and numerous private collections worldwide.
Marck
(Switzerland, b. 1964）
Marck (Switzerland, b.1964) is internationally recognized for his video sculptures. Based in Zurich, he is an atypical artist: he dropped out of art school, unable to accept rigid academic structures, and instead worked in fields as varied as auto dismantling, electrical engineering, rock music, and design for technological installations. These unconventional experiences shaped a distinctive artistic vocabulary—blending imagination, reality, and the playful ambiguity of perception. In 2019, he received the International Culture Award from the Accademia Culturale Internazionale Cartagine in Italy. His works have been exhibited at Kunst(Zeug)Haus Rapperswil and are held in major collections including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; ArtCenter Istanbul; and ZKM Zentrum für Kunst und Medien, as well as numerous private collections worldwide.
Angela Glajcar
(Germany, b.1970）
Born in Mainz, Germany, Angela Glajcar studied sculpture at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Nuremberg from 1991 to 1998. Glajcar's work embodies sculpture and installation, it examines the way in which space is experienced using a material that is fragile and light. In the act of ripping and perforating a material that is traditionally used as a two-dimensional support, Glajcar gives paper a strong sculptural presence. Terforation is the title of Angela Glajcar's famous cubic pieces. The staggered arrangement of the vertically hung series of sheets of white paper, with torn edges, produces cave-like recessions. These extend into the depth of the sculpture. The sharp ridges and deep caverns gives viewer a fascinating room of harmony and silence. Glajcar has exhibited extensively and been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships including Studio Award of the Kunststiftung Erich Hauser, the Asterstein scholarship in 1999 and Vordemberge Gildewart Award in 2004. Glajcar's works have been showcased in various prominent public art exhibitions, including Cologne Cathedral, the Frankfurt Department of Culture, the Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Mainz Gutenberg Museum. Permanent collections of Glajcar's works can be found at the Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art in the United States, the Wiesbaden Museum in Germany, the Mainz Arts and Sciences Center in Germany, and the Hanten Schmidt collection in Austria.
Wolfgang Flad
(Germany, b. 1974)
Wolfgang Flad (Germany, b. 1974) graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and currently lives and works in Berlin. Renowned for his distinctive sculptural language, Flad departs from the weight and monumentality traditionally associated with sculpture. Employing wood, metal, glass, and recycled materials, he creates sinuous, irregular forms that embody organic vitality and tension. His solo exhibition at Tampa Museum of Art，his works by permanent collected the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Kunsthaus Zürich, Centraal Museum Utrecht.
Desire Obtain Cherish
(U.S.A, b. 1975）
Desire Obtain Cherish (D.O.C.), a.k.a. Jonathon Paul, is a Los Angeles, USA based artist whose works have attracted an audience worldwide. From early roots in L.A.’s street art scene, his repertoire has grown to encompass major international exhibitions such as the renowned Venice Biennale art festival in 2015. New York’s famous Saks Fifth Avenue in 2016 invited D.O.C. and his iconic Meltdown installations to take part in an art and fashion collaboration. The artist’s unique vision and fresh style have also attracted the eye of respected collectors including New York's Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The Ecclestone Collection, The Feinberg Collection, La Laliberte Collection, American DJ Diplo and NBA player Dirk Nowitzki and Andrei Kirilenko.
Christiane Grimm
(Germany, b. 1957)
Christiane Grimm (Germany, b. 1957) was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and graduated from the University of Stuttgart's architecture department, currently lives and works in Heidelberg. Christian Grimm focuses on the sensual effect conveyed by special materials like acrylic glass, emerges from the interplay between colours, composition, space, material, and lighting. Her work allows physical light to influence the specificity of the image, revealing three-dimensional gradients painted by light. Exhibited at the Museum Ritter and the Wilhelm Hack Museum in Germany and awarded the public's choice award, permanently collected by institutions such as the City Government of Heidelberg, Deutsche Bank, Das Kleine Museum and Kunsthalle Würth, as well as private institutions like PwC's Assurance Services.
Adrian Wald
(Germany, b.1986)
Adrian Wald (Germany, b.1986) was born in Bavaria, Germany, currently lives and works in Munich. He studied graphic painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the Ecole Mediterraneo des Arts in Marseille, France. In Wald's creative field, there is no clear boundary between "sculpture" and "painting", installation works that combine sculpture and painting are the main forms of creation. He deconstructs objects and embodies the concept of "breaking the way or order of viewing paintings" through his works. Wald has been selected to participate in the artist-in-residence program in Riedenburg, Germany many times, and has received grants from the Bavarian Ministry of Arts and Culture.
Dai Yinglun
(China, b.1987）
Dai Yinglun received Master degree in Chinese Painting from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, currently lives and works in Shanghai. Deeply influenced by Zen, Buddhism and Eastern philosophy, he has developed a distinctive visual language characterised by dispersed, flattened compositions depicting the myriad conditions of human existence. Moving beyond binary oppositions, his work presents a dual perspective on the collective and the individual. His practice has garnered significant attention for its vitality and originality. Dai’s works have been exhibited and collected at institutions including the Shanghai Meibo Art Museum, Xi’an Contemporary Art Museum. Awarded the Gold Prize at the Shanghai Annual Youth Ink Exhibition, and the Artand Annual Award for Most Noteworthy Artist.
Bay Tang Jiaxin
（China, b.1995）
Bay Tang Jiaxin (China, b. 1995) holds a Master of Arts degree from the Royal College of Art in the UK and currently lives and works in Changsha. Influenced by her background in printmaking, the qualities of paper have become central to her artistic language, allowing the material to convey her exploration of the blurred existence between space and time. In her Pierced Paper series, Tang uses a needle to lift the fibers of paper, creating an undulating surface through repetitive actions. These acts embody the passage of time, with the resulting texture and visual-tactile resonance reflecting her state of mind during the creative process and her inquiry into subspaces. Her work The Stone of Another Mountain has been collected by the Jiangxi Art Museum.
Dai Junpeng
（China, b.1996）
Dai Junpeng received his Master of Arts degree from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Currently lives and works in Guangzhou, where he also teaches at Guangzhou College. His practice moves fluidly between a contemporary sensibility and the discipline of traditional ink painting, exploring how the concepts of xu (emptiness/void) and yi (ease, transcendence) may embody the humanistic spirit of landscape imagery. Within his work, a dynamic equilibrium is sought between human subjectivity and the objective presence of nature. His works presented in Taipei, London and Los Angeles, awarded the Outstanding Graduate Prize from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
Li Liangchen
（China, b. 1997）
Li Liangchen received his B.A. in Art History and Theory from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Calligraphy from the Chinese National Academy of Arts, where he is currently pursuing a doctoral degree. His work integrates classical material language with contemporary imagery, employing the blue-green (qinglü) landscape tradition as a visual “filter.” Through textual collage and fragmented symbols, he creates multilayered pictorial spaces that invite immersive viewing—spaces that may be metaphorically “inhabited” and “traversed.” Exhibited included the National Art Museum of China, Today Art Museum, and the Hangzhou Triennial of Chinese Painting. He has been awarded the First Prize for Outstanding Work in the National Art Exhibition and permanent collections by the China Artists Association, the Modern Gongbi Painting Academy, and Tree Art Museum in Beijing.
