Dylan Martinez
(American, b. 1985)

美国波尔州立大学艺术硕士,主修玻璃创作。以玻璃探索媒材和视觉互动,透过光、空间与形体的变化冲击观者的视觉经验。荣获多项国际竞赛奖项、米兰国际艺术玻璃与设计竞赛创新奖、匹兹堡玻璃中心首奖等。


Martinez 以玻璃为主要创作媒介,在加热塑形与冷却凝固之间,吹化出生动的姿态。主张作品是实验的载体,而非追求技术表现的装饰,运用玻璃折射及任意弯折的特性,探讨不同的视觉体验。本次展出的 Waterbags 系列作品,透过对玻璃特质的精准掌握,细緻地呈现移晃中水袋的形貌,袋缘粒粒水珠彷彿即将滑落,为其经典的代表作之一。
