“Bird in colour” Embarking on a journey back to 1895, the very first X-ray film was created by German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen. The subject was his wife Bertha’s hand, complete with an engagement ring. Nick Veasey beautifully honours this pivotal moment with ‘The Bird in Colour’ series, where an X-rayed hand comes to life in a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours.
