On the evening of October 16, 2025, at the Hantoo Art Group’s London opening reception, Bluerider ART showcased its curatorial strength and extensive network of collectors in the UK. The venue was packed with hundreds of guests as artists, collectors, diplomats, and cultural figures engaged in lively conversations. The vibrant atmosphere ignited a rare wave of excitement in an otherwise subdued global art market.
Lord Faulkner's Opening Remarks:
"Thank you Elsa very much indeed. Also, that was a lovely introduction, and I appreciate it very much indeed. I'm delighted to see so many people here this evening. Particularly my very good friend, his Excellency Vincent Yao, I think is goanna to be saying a few words to a sooner moment.
And I know you are going to be Taipei Office tomorrow to take the second part of this exhibition to another audience. So, All the very best of luck with that, As you say I was here two years ago, when you first step foot in London and decided that this is where you wanted to have a gallery and be represented, and it's great that it's come to this this tonight.
It's such a pleasure for me to be here at the opening exhibition of “Rising in Fire: Hantoo Art Group”. The Hantoo art group which is about the making of art history in Taiwan for twenty-seven years. I know that the exhibition had great success at your Taipei Gallery and attracted wide attention and the claim. And now the Hantoo's group is here with sixty works by thirteen artists and it's your first major exhibition in the UK. I'm hoping to visit Taiwan again next March and if I possibly can, I’ll put in a visit to your gallery in Taipei.
As a trade envoy to Taiwan, I'm delighted to see this art connection. Between the two of us between Taiwan and the United Kingdom, it's a significant and very great chapter. And bringing Taiwan’s contemporary art to the UK, I'll say you referred to semiconductors I could have talked also. About food and agriculture and wind power and wind farms on all the other things where we are cooperating on trade matters with the Taipei government and but to have art and culture as part of that mix chose that a degree of class. I may say that which you are bringing to our relationship.
I'm delighted to hear that the gallery has worked with several United Kingdom artists, including Nick Veasey British photographer working with images created from X-ray imaging, and other artists such as Hogan Brown, Anderson & Low. I didn't know how many of them are here this evening.
The British government attaches a lot of importance to art and culture, and where It is able to find the money it helps to turbocharge growth by transforming local venues, creating jobs, supporting businesses and spreading opportunity across the country. We've got a market in Britain but is hungry for culture from other places. And I'm sure, but this exhibition is going to be enormous popular, with London, and other visitors to our capital. We have on a whole a mature high spending consumer market where world class talent and a business-friendly regulatory environment. We have a market of sixty-eight million people. It won't all come here, and they won't all buy your art. I suspect quite a few of them will and it's got a range of programs to help businesses of all shapes and sizes to grow.
Through your work, you are truly acting as a bridge between East and West, and it's my great honor to be here today.
I wish Bluerider ART every success as I did indeed two years ago.
Thank you very much indeed."
