Bluerider ART Taipei·DunRen is pleased to announce “Pi Kai: Breaking The Fourth Wall”, opening February 15, 2025. Pi Kai (China, b.1995), a graduate of the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, draws inspiration from video games, merging gaming elements with oil painting to create immersive first-person perspectives. The exhibition explores the dissolution of boundaries between reality and virtuality. “Breaking” symbolizes swift, fearless breakthroughs, while the “fourth wall” represents the intersection of the virtual and real. Through his works, Pi Kai portrays his belief that “the battles in games mirror the struggles of life,” offering a bold and dynamic exploration of contemporary challenges.
