Within the cyclical order of the Chinese Zodiac, the Horse has long stood as a symbol of strength, speed, and an indomitable spirit of enterprise—embodying humanity’s primal drive to break through limitations and press relentlessly forward. More than a creature that traverses the earth, the horse serves as an imaginative vessel that bridges reality and ideals, the material and the spiritual. In an era of rapid technological acceleration, such “Pegasus-like” courage is needed more than ever: a refusal to settle for the status quo, a rejection of well-worn paths, and a commitment to reimagining the world through boundless creativity. Pegasus departs from the conventional format of zodiac-themed group exhibitions by specially inviting 32 contemporary artists from both East and West to present 73 works—spanning painting, sculpture, and installation—each inspired by the enduring image of the horse.
