Our founder Elsa Wang Opening remark:
Good evening, dear guests and friends, welcome to Bluerider ART London•Mayfair, and to the opening of Ink Flux. This is our first Chinese ink art in London, so it’s a very exciting night. This exhibition brings together seven outstanding emerging ink artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China—five of whom were selected from 700 applicants. We also present a special work by artist Eunice Cheung, previously exhibited at the National Palace Museum in Taiwan.
Ink is never just a medium—it is a gentle and soft invitation. It does not impose how to look, but draws us into a flow of time and perception. Like a handscroll, it unfolds as a narrative in motion, and experienced gradually. As the gaze moves, time expands, and the image comes into being through the act of viewing. British artist David Hockney now show at Serpentine gallery, draws inspiration from Chinese scroll, this “moving perspective” .
These ink artists reimagine ink—expanding and transforming its language beyond tradition. You don’t really have to understand the thousands year of ink history to enjoy what they are saying. Tonight, we invite you to step into this unfolding, and experience your own way of seeing.
Thank you all for being here tonight and please enjoy .
