畢業於香港中文大學藝術系碩士學程，主修工筆動物畫創作，當今香港「新工筆」繪畫代表人物之一。擁有豐富國際展出經驗的Eunice CHEUNG Wai Man於2013年至2016年期間連續四年參展香港巴塞爾藝術展（Art Basel Hong Kong），2013年亦受邀成為香港蘇富比藝術空間《一墨相承：香港藝術家十二人展》聯展藝術家，與新媒體結合之系列作品曾於台灣國立故宮博物館和義大利聖十字教堂（Basilica of Santa Croce）展出，2009年作品入選《香港當代藝術雙年獎》，雖為年僅三十多歲的新生代「新工筆」創作者，實力與潛力卻備受多方肯定。
2015年受邀於台北故宮「藝域漫遊－郎世寧新媒體藝術展」為「探索郎世寧世界之花鳥走獸」新媒體展品繪製畫作。
中國藝術史上的工筆花鳥總以細緻工整的技法描繪珍禽異獸，以象徵古時皇公貴族的炫富獵奇心理、進貢帝王的吉祥祝賀之意，也因此具東方寫實主義的工筆花鳥畫，要求栩栩如生的細節，亦要求宮廷畫匠對素描、線條繪製、渲染等技法的專注與精練。「新工筆」對於工筆畫有著藝術與工藝層面上的延續，保留工筆畫工整細緻的勾勒與渲染技法，同時融合西方寫實主義的畫面構成、色彩使用與形象表現，更展現諸多新意，兼具傳統水墨韻味與當代精神雙重特性。
張惠文「新工筆」繪畫創作延續細膩繁複的工筆技法，主題思想則以時事、社會議題、萬物間的聯繫為軸心，將生活的樸質帶入創作之中，顛覆並超越了過往工筆畫臨摹山水花鳥等強調寫實「美」的意境呈現。雖仍使用絹本、宣紙、毛筆等傳統工筆材料，但她將工筆傳統做出延伸，並以當代視角創作如詩的畫作，融入超現實的意涵，更為自由地運用工筆所具有的元素進行新的視覺觀表述。藝術家以擬人的型態描繪由動物視角出發的世界，不僅令人思考動物在不同環境地域與社會文化的生存狀態，更串起人與動物間密不可分的關係，透過細緻的筆觸繪出自然之美的詠嘆；此外作品中加入許多現代生活的元素，也更引起觀者的共鳴。
